We simply loved Apulia

    Trulli by night

VisitReggioCalabria’s tour of Puglia was a delightful discovery of the region’s charms. From Trulli houses in Alberobello to the crystal-clear waters of Polignano a Mare, it was a perfect blend of history and beauty.

Our adventure began in Alberobello, where we wandered amidst the whimsical Trulli houses. These unique, cone-roofed dwellings, built entirely of local limestone, transported us to a bygone era. Marveling at their intricate craftsmanship, we learned about the history behind these UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Leaving Alberobello, the landscape unfolded, revealing rolling hills dotted with olive groves and vineyards. The culmination of this scenic journey was Polignano a Mare. Here, the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea sparkled under the sun, inviting us for a refreshing dip. The charming seaside town itself offered a delightful mix of history and beauty, with its quaint streets and traditional architecture providing a glimpse into Puglian life.
